friday. was the shiz. like woah. we had our second birthday party for daxflame and our first real party of the new year. it was magic. i can't even describe how much i love living with my roommates. they're honestly some of the best friends i could have ever asked/hoped/prayed for. now enough with the mushy mushy and back to the partay. we had such a good turn out. i got to see so many old friends and make some new ones. we deeefinitely got some great rockband footage for our reality show. the only negative of the night was the unexpected arrival of that stupid skankatron we all hate {this girl version of a cock block...wait, is it too inappropriate to say cock block? oh well, it's already written and i don't feel like reaching mr. pinky all they way up to mr. backspace. is it weird that i just labeled my pinky mr. even though he's on a girl body?} post party breakdown included jess, chantz, frazier and i talking and listening to music while the disco ball revolved.
saturday. slightly hungover from all the goldfish crackers and water consumed the night before. we didn't get to bed until two in the ay.em. i "officially" woke up at noon, went out and looked at the result of a night of "heavy partying" in provo. cups everywhere. literally. here is where we found them: the floor, by the fish tank, in beth's bathroom, in the couch, on the couch, under the couch, on the stairs and even in the sink. who in their right mind puts a p.l.a.s.t.i.c. cup in the sink? i hope they didn't think we were going to wash it and use it for later. went to big lots to get a leash for roxy and then hit up macey's for our daily supplies. i just want to give a shout out to calypso lemonade for being the most delicious lemonade i've had in a while. and trust me, i know lemonade. we just wanted to "stay chill" today so we had a mellow rockband session and then watched part of the first season of jersey shore.
sunday. found out my car was overheating again and reeking of antifreeze. i endured another terrifying drive home but the light at the end of the tunnel was seeing my mommy! she's been in new york for the past nine days and i haven't been able to talk to her very much. i went home and she fed me soup and delicious treats found only in the glorious big apple.  drove home big pimpin with my blaser on and rollin in my mama's acura until carlos gets fixed. das wassup!!

things i loved about yesterday

1. no school/work because carlos is sick
2. hitting up the post office and a-fresh with g-unit
3. laughing because she wouldn't accept a nickel from me and broke an extra dollar for her $2.05 purchase
4. getting the latest national geographic {paris underground! spicy!!}
5. watching the latest episode of jerseylicious
6. watching "i used to be fat" while eating
7. reading jamie's email

stupid carlos got sick again.

but this time it's worse.

it might cost me my right arm and first born.

i had to come home tonight so i could take him in tomorrow.

i don't wanna talk about it.

and the sun shines on my face.

all the while i talk i hope i get tan.

last night i went to see jigu! 

it was pretty neat.

those chinese sure know how to beat a drum!

in an effort to feel grown up and classy

 along with my strange desire to wear heels, i did.

these ones, but black.

when i left to go pick up mi amigo it was chilly.

just chilly.

by the time the show got out

mother nature had given birth to a full blown blizzard.

now some of you may or may not know this,

but driving stick in heels is not the easiest task.

driving stick, in heels, in the middle of a blizzard is even worse.

 i've never driven in snow before.

and i know some of you are thinking

"but brissa, you've been in utah your whole life!  how is this possible?!"

i'll tell you.

i didn't get my license until i was 18.

and i always picked housing that was within walking distance to campus.

that's how.

back to my story.

it was horrible. 

and scary. 

and exhilarating.

the only downside to snow driving:

everyone is suuper cautious and i can't drive fast.

also, i should probably stop taking pictures whilst driving.
it's probably not safe. 

three cheers for liquid aluminum.

i may or may not have told you, but last week, carlos got sick.

his check engine light came on and, like any good mother, i panicked.

i took him to a shop down here in provo on monday.

they told me his head gasket was blown

and it would be around $1300 to replace it or $4500 for a new engine.

i cried.

there was no way i had enough money for that.

i called my papa and he told me to bring carlos to our family mechanic.

so that's exactly what i did.

i took carlos to the doctor to get fixed and i got to relax at home for eight hours.

i had some delicious homemade guacamole

and took a {much needed} two hour nap in the hammock.

there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

it was perfect.

bill, the mechanic called.

i was two-gallons low on coolant in my three-gallon tank.

so they filled 'er up.

they also put some liquid aluminum product in carlos to patch up the problems.

they were able to nip it right in the bud.

and guess how much it cost me?

ninety-seven smackaroos.

that's what's up.

i hope your tuesday was equally golden.

oh!  and if any of you run into car troubles in the near future {which i hope you don't} call stagg automotive in bountiful, but only if you want a mechanic you can trust. 

happenings

so i guess i forgot to tell you kids a few things.

first.

i moved out of club 45.

 i went from a two bedroom apartment to a two story, four bedroom house.

it's kind of amazing and incredibly spacious.

we named it le tigre. 

that's my house.

hidden behind that giant tree.

 second.

i bought a car.

his name is carlos and he's a manual.

my second time EVER on the freeway was in carlos in stop-and-go traffic.

it was quite the adventure.

i may have shed some tears.

third.

 my favorite sunglasses died.

these ones.

fourth.

lauren came to visit.

{circa 2008}.

 

she, sam and i partied for a day and a half.
we also planned an epic harry potter trip to florida for next summer.

fifth.

i saw parker and brandon for the first time since their missions.

it was a joyous reunion.

oh! and i dominated everyone in my first game of dominion.

all my friends are coming back either this week or next week!

i can't wait.

but that means school starts soon.

a week from yesterday i turn twenty-one.
