two&zero

It's official.
I'm done.
I've jumped on the bandwagon, joined the club, and hopped on board.
I have officially left teenage land for.ev.er. ohmylanta! I've been alive for two decades!! It's kind of weird to think about actually.
I understand this isn't really considered a big or "milestone" birthday for most people, but it is for me. I'm not a kid anymore . I will never be a teenager again. I'm done. There's no other way to put it.
It's kind of bittersweet (tangent: I wish there was another word I could use in place of bittersweet. A fresh word. One that is slightly more eloquent and not used quite as often. Note: thesaurus{dot}com doesn't not have any alternative choices. Okay, back to my thought). I'm excited to live, to move on, to grow and learn and accomplish my goals but on the other hand, I'm leaving behind my childhood, my youth. Those memories will always be cherished but as I continue to grow, those little treasures will start to fade away. They will be replaced with new memories or simply forgotten. Sometimes I wish I could say "freeze!" and everything would remain the same until I said "Okay, you can go back to getting old." I'm scared I won't be able to do everything I want to do before I get too grown up. But at the same time I don't want to stop time. I want to learn and experience and soak up every drop of life as it happens. I want to live in the moment and love every moment I live in. I vote for the latter.

I have a feeling that twenty is going to be a good year.

I can still remember talking to you before you were born and feeling you interact with the sound of my voice. That was so cool. I can also remember getting you right after you were born, taking you over to the warm water tub and chatting with you and you were, again, interacting with me. In fact, the doc told us to keep it down. You have been a blessing in my life, a light, an example I try to follow, and a constant. I know I can count on you to always do the right thing. I, too, vote for the latter!
