remember how i was so excited to go to this place?
well i went.
it was amazing!!!
i'm going to break it down for you the easiest way i know how.
day by day.
thursday.
we left provo around 11-ish
and by we i mean: beth, scott, brett and steph.
sidenote: they're all related.
i felt lucky.
especially when they made me hide when we got to arizona
especially when they made me hide when we got to arizona
so i wouldn't get deported.
on the way down we saw these signs for free samples of fresh alien jerky in baker.
we decided to stop in a check it out.
this is the first thing we saw when we pulled up.
a space trooper alien couple.
and guess what.
they had a baby.
a creepy, deformed, alien baby.
but on a lighter note, the peppered alien jerky was delicious,
the honey teriyaki jerky was decent,
and beth said the colon cleaner hot jerky wasn't that spicy.
we got to heaven late that night.
truth be told, i can't really remember when we got in.
maybe ten thirty ish?
but it was great.
beth's family is awesome.
friday.
!!!!!!!!!!disneyland!!!!!!!!!!
on the tram ride over to heaven.
we got there about eight and stayed until ten!
we basically walked on every single ride there.
indiana jones. {2x}
pirates. {2x}
tower of tower. {back to back}
thunder mountain. {4x}
star tours. {2x}
space mountain.
california coaster.
soaring over california.
and about a billion more.
we saw the aladdin show.
met pooh, tigger and eyore.
and were apparently really excited to see goofy.
we got a photo with mater
we saw a barber shop quartet riding on an incredible tandem on steroids.
saw some "incredible" california fashion.
this just proves that uggs are ugly and should never be worn with short shorts and pale legs.
we thought about eating here
but decided not to pay 6 bucks for a dog,
even if it was the best weiner in a supporting roll.
we met this cute little kid on thunder mountain.
he was so excited and kept screaming "watch the goat, watch the goat!!"
after we told him our little secret.
it was great to see the magic of it all in his eyes.
and the fireworks?
they were incredible.
oh! and brett finally got his giant turkey leg.
it was a dream come true.
i really don't think words can describe how incredible disneyland was.
it had been a while and it was long overdue.
it really is the happiest place on earth.
saturday.
we woke up.
played beatles rockband and headed to the beach.
huntington beach to be exact.
us girls buried the boys into a few really incredible bodies.
first we gave scottie a major muscle man physique.
then brett wanted in on the fun.
so we made a mermaid and a merman.
we are talented when it comes to sand sculptures.
we saw an amazing man side flip over six people.
and did a little shopping.
sunday.
we drove back.
it was tragic.
but we did see our favorite road.
the only redeeming part about the drive back was stopping at capriotti's.
i got the capastrami.
it.was.delicious.
i'd never had pastrami before.
and this first time really set the bar.
wow.
if only there was a sandwich shop in utah.
every other pastrami sandwich will pale in comparison.
mmmmm. so good.
another favorite part about the ride back was when beth and i rode in the front and controlled the music.
yeuhh booy!
well kids, there ya have it.
my exiting little holiday down to the sunshine state.
it was glorious and i wish it never ended.
