Today was my second day of school. I am so excited it should be illegal. I am really looking forward to learning in all my classes. I can't wait to dive in to my communications classes. For two of my classes I am assigned to read the New York Times everyday. I am actually quite thrilled about this and don't look at it as an assignment at all {well, until the quizzes start...}. I was already planning on keeping up with current events and reading the paper and now I have multiple reasons for following through with it. I think it's neat that I know a little bit more about the world I'm living in than I did yesterday. I like it. I would rather be aware of what is going on around me than live in ignorance and pretend everything is peachy.
For my Principles of Journalism class I need to get {another} blog to write about current events or things discussed in class and a twitter account. I'm not sure how I feel about the latter. I honestly don't really see a point to twitter. It's basically a page for multiple facebook statuses. But I can see how it's beneficial because twitter is one way to relay information and spread news quickly.
I'm pumped for school to really get started so I can delve into my major and make the steps necessary to get where I want to be.
